Bakery bun line — worm gearbox rebuilt from stock
Food processing- Problem
- A bun line in a Greater Manchester bakery stopped on a failed worm gearbox. The OEM wanted a complete box on a lead time that would have written off the shift.
- What Arrow did
- Spare worm wheel, gaskets, seals and bearings were on the Salford shelf. We stripped the box, fitted the wheel and internals, and sent it back the same day.
- Outcome
- Line back up without a new gearbox. The worn wheel is now a stocked spare for that plant.
